CHARLES W. ELMORE, lovingly known to many as Chuck, passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on July 19, 1938, Chuck’s life spanned nearly nine decades filled with dedication, resilience, and a gentle grace that touched all who knew him.

Chuck’s journey through life was marked by a deep devotion to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Elmore, who was his steadfast companion and source of strength. Their bond was a shining example of commitment and partnership. Chuck was also a nurturing and caring father to his sons Chill (Cheryl) Elmore of Indiana & Chad Elmore of Ohio, who will continue to carry forward their father’s spirit and lessons. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Emma, Evan and Paige.

His life was rich with love as Chuck never met a stranger. He was an ideal neighbor who enjoyed the company of friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Roberta Keller, whose memory remained dear to him throughout his years. He also mourned the passing of his son, Shannon Elmore, whose absence was deeply felt but whose life was celebrated and cherished by Chuck always.

Throughout his life, Chuck exemplified kindness, patience and unwavering integrity. He approached each day with thoughtfulness toward others and a sense of gratitude for the small moments that made life meaningful. He found joy in the company of loved ones and took pride in the enduring relationships he built over many years. One of his great loves was showing buckskin quarter horses. He did this for many years and took great pride in his horses and found a lot of enjoyment during this time of his life.  According to Chad (son), "My dad is the best cowboy I ever saw".

Chuck’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who survive him. His family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him will remember his steady wisdom, his quiet humor, and the comfort of his presence. As they mourn his passing, they also celebrate a life well-lived—a life defined not by grand gestures, but by everyday acts of love, care, and quiet support.  Charles W. Elmore will be dearly missed, treasured always in memory, and honored for the lasting impact he made on all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.
