Elizabeth Lanning, a cherished mother, beloved daughter, and devoted sister, passed away on December 1, 2025, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Born on January 9, 1981, she was a radiant soul whose warmth and laughter enriched the lives of her family and friends.
A graduate of Big Walnut High School's class of 1998, Elizabeth carried her spirit of joy and curiosity into every aspect of her life. Her personality was a beacon of light, often manifested in her passion for photography. She possessed a remarkable ability to capture moments that would otherwise slip away, preserving the memories of family adventures in snapshots that spoke volumes.
Elizabeth's memory will forever be held by her beloved children: Skyler, Tyelan, Payton, and Liam Pittman. The stories they share echo with the happiness of many precious moments at the beach, where laughter and playful antics became the backdrop of their lives. They remember how their mother could bring silliness to the tennis court, turning every game into an unforgettable experience, filled with joy and laughter. One particularly cherished memory recalls the delight when she gifted an Xbox 360, going the extra mile to weave magic into their childhood by assuring them it was a present from Santa.
Her family includes her devoted parents, Joseph and Laureen Schoenberger, who nurtured her spirit and loved her dearly. Elizabeth is also survived by her loving siblings, sister Ashely and brother Mike Schoenberger, who shared in the laughter and creations of their formative years, embodying the bonds of family that she held so dear. She also leaves behind the father of her children, Justin Pittman.
In this tapestry of life, Elizabeth Lanning stands as a figure of joy, creativity, and love. She will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and accompany her family through every photograph captured and every memory cherished. As they gather to reminisce and celebrate her life, they do so with hearts full of gratitude for the countless moments of happiness she so lovingly bestowed upon them.
