Kathleen Ann Speece

Speece, Kathleen Ann (Kathy), RN, age 80 of Dublin, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026. Kathy is survived by her children, Andrew Speece, Lori Richardson and Greg Speece (Amanda); grandchildren Dany Trujillo (Mandy), Ashley Mechling, Jessica, Isabel, Parker, and Cooper Speece. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas Shultz (Mary Ann) of Kettering, Ohio and Robert Shultz (Judy) of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her brother, James; and her parents, Robert and Janet. Kathy was a loving wife, sister, daughter, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Kathy earned her RN through the nursing program at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. She began her nursing career as an instructor of Medical Assisting for the Adult Education Division of the Dayton Public Schools. She later worked as a manager in Provider Relations for United Healthcare of Ohio. During her later years in Florida, Kathy worked as director of Managed Care Services for Memorial Health Systems in Ormond Beach and manager of Human Resources at Florida Hospital in Palm Coast.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Dayton, OH 45429 on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice.
