Mary Jo Wilson (McGuire), a cherished and devoted member of her family, passed away peacefully at her home on April 10, 2026. Born on November 28, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio, Mary Jo lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and an enduring love for those around her.
Mary Jo dedicated over two decades of her professional life to Nationwide Insurance, where she served as a manager. Her commitment and leadership in the workplace were reflections of the same care and dedication she showed in her personal relationships.
Known for her loving nature, Mary Jo was a caring and kind grandmother who never saw a stranger. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and was always eager to meet new people. Traveling was one of her great passions, and she relished opportunities to explore new places with her dear friends and beloved family. She also held a special affection for her Florida home, which brought her much joy over the years.
Mary Jo is survived by her devoted spouse of 40 years, Homer Wilson; her daughter Carmie (Mike) Joseph & grandsons Zachary & Brayden and her daughter Trish Gilbert & granddaughters Megan and Helen. She also leaves behind her sister, Joan Engle, and her best friend, Pat Anthony, along with many other family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence in their lives.
A visitation to honor Mary Jo will be held on April 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Condit Presbyterian Church, located at 15102 Hartford Road, Sunbury, OH 43074. Her funeral service will follow on April 17, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at the church followed by burial at Trenton Twp Cemetery.
Mary Jo Wilson’s life was one of compassion and genuine kindness. Her legacy of love and friendship endures in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered with great fondness and respect.
