Roy Eugene Floyd

Roy Eugene Floyd, 58, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on May 14, 2026. He was born on March 27, 1968, in Marion, Ohio.

Roy was a man who loved the simple things in life — fishing, fixing things, cooking good food, listening to music, and working outside. He was always looking for something to get into and was always ready for an adventure. More than anything, he loved his dog, Blue. Roy always spoke his mind and usually made sure he had the last word. His humor, personality, and stubborn spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Floyd/Pennington; his father, Roy Laverne Floyd; and his niece, Tiffany Bonhomme.

Roy is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Taylor and Brooklyn Robson; his granddaughters, Olivia Moschell, Amelia Moschell, and Sage Sims; his siblings, Tina Levering, Rhonda Newkirk, Shawn Floyd, and Shirley Blair; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.

Roy’s family will be holding a celebration of life following cremation, and details will be shared at a later time.

He will be forever loved, remembered, and deeply missed.
