Tricia Strait passed away on September 26, 2026, just days before her 48th birthday. She will be remembered as a woman with a big personality, a positive attitude, and a warm, outgoing spirit that made her fun to be around. Tricia loved to talk to everyone and truly enjoyed getting together with people, bringing energy and friendliness wherever she went.

Tricia is a proud graduate of Big Walnut High School 1997.  Tricia was currently attending Life Builders Sunbury, and she took great pride in living independently at Rainbow Place Apartments. This was one of her greatest accomplishments in her life and a source of joy and dignity for her. She carried herself with a super friendly and outgoing nature, and those who knew her will remember how easily she connected with others.

She found happiness in simple pleasures and favorite films, especially Karate Kid and Angels in the Outfield. Tricia’s words also reflected what mattered most to her. She loved to say, “Jesus and my friends and family,” a phrase that spoke to the center of her heart. Even in difficult moments, her positive spirit shone through, and she would say, “I am fine; I can make it,” offering a glimpse of her determination and hopeful outlook.

Tricia is survived by her parents, Mark and Diane Strait; her brother, Mark Strait II; her sister, Kareena Strait; and her nephew Cole Strait and niece Ava Strait. She also leaves behind many other loving family members who will carry her memory forward.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Patricia Frenier, and by her grandparents Phillip and Josephine Strait.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation with the family on October 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Vineyard Church Delaware County, 1001 W Cherry St, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. A memorial service will follow there at 12:00 noon.

Tricia’s life was marked by kindness, conversation, faith, and connection. She leaves behind memories of laughter, friendliness, and a heart that treasured Jesus, her friends, and her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
